About Rogers PCB
Rogers laminates have a low, stable dielectric constant (Dk) and low signal loss across frequency and temperature, which standard FR4 cannot match. That keeps losses down and impedance predictable in RF, microwave and high-speed digital designs.
We supply boards on Rogers RO4003C, RO4350B and RT/duroid 5880, plus other high-frequency materials such as Teflon (PTFE), Arlon and Taconic. Rogers layers can also be combined with FR4 in a hybrid stack-up to control cost.
Typical applications
- Antennas
- Cellular and radio base stations
- Radar, including automotive radar
- Satellite and GPS equipment
- Microwave filters and couplers
- High-speed digital links
Common questions
Which should I choose: RO4003C, RO4350B or RT/duroid 5880?
RO4003C (Dk about 3.38) and RO4350B (Dk about 3.48) are hydrocarbon-ceramic laminates that process much like FR4 and suit most RF work; RO4350B also carries a UL 94 V-0 flame rating. RT/duroid 5880 is a PTFE laminate with a very low Dk of about 2.2 and very low loss, used for millimetre-wave and the most loss-sensitive designs.
Can Rogers material be mixed with FR4?
Yes. A hybrid stack-up uses Rogers material only on the RF layers and FR4 for the rest, which lowers cost.
